Hexagonal/Standard Sunglasses Car Clip - No Supports!

Do NOT print this in PLA, Use a high temperature resistant material for best results and longevity! (Recommended: ABS, ASA, etc. PETG will work but will deform over time, especially in hotter climates)

Best suited for thicker frame sunglasses. Not designed for thin framed eyewear.

I developed two models, one primary hexagonal design for those brave enough and a solid design for those beginners or general users.

These clips also work not just in cars but surprisingly well sitting on a flat surface!

Print Settings (for both models):

• Again, Print using a high temperature resistant material like PETG, ABS, ASA, Nylon, etc. Not PLA!
• Infill at 100% for strength and to prevent deforming.
• Be sure to have your overhangs very well tuned for your particular material!
• Use 3 Perimeters to reduce print time. (Model is 2.4mm thick all around)
• Supports are not needed for well tuned printers, however it will not hurt to use supports on the build plate for assurance. 

Inspiration:

This model was made from scratch using general concepts of existing models. Many of the models I had come across appeared to be too skinny for my liking. So, I found a design I really appreciated by Celta (Sunglasses Car Clip), huge thanks for the inspiration! There were many things I believed that worked well with that model. However, I found in using it for quite some time, my sunglasses tend to wobble or slide out of place. Therefore, the wider clip was born!
