Description
My glasses live by my PC, so I created this simple glasses holder to slot onto the monitor for easy storage. The bracket includes a rail for hanging glasses and a small storage space for keeping lens cleaners and cleaning cloths (or any other small items that will fit).
The holder is intended to be attached to the monitor with double sided tape, and can be attached on the left or right side of the monitor as there are two attachment channels.
The attachment channels at the back are spaced 14mm apart (the depth of my own screen) but the model can be scaled so that the channels will fit other screens. The bracket covers a 12mm bezel on the front of the screen at the original scale.
There are two versions of the model - one with a “roof” (to hang on the top corner of the screen) and one without (for placing anywhere vertically). The version without a roof can be printed in the original vertical orientation without any supports as the maximum angle is 45 degrees. The roofed version will require supports in the attachment channels, unless your printer handles overhangs really well.
Technically the model could also be printed flat on its back with the attachment channels completely removed in order to be stuck onto a flat surface.
Print Settings
For the pictured print I used PLA with a 0.6mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height and 15% infill.
