A mount to support a thru-axle bike vertically against a wall.
Take off your front wheel, roll your bike to the wall, and push.
Important Notes - Use at your own risk.
Be aware of cranks/pedals!
Pedals will inevitably ding a wall, your shin, or another bike
Not all walls are built the same!
There are different types of drywall, plaster, concrete, and brick. There may or may not be studs in your wall in the right place. It's up to you to know what your wall can reasonably hold. Use at your own risk!
Know what you are drilling into!
Beware of electrical lines, plumbing, whatever. Install at your own risk!
Mount is not designed to hold full weight of bike!
The mount is used to securely balance a bike against a wall and NOT to support the entire bike. The rear tire of the bike should be holding almost all of the weight of the bike.
Background
I store bikes in my closet to keep them safe, but I still need easy access.
My closets have limited vertical space due to shelving.
For years I have been using velcro straps threaded between the headtube and fork to a wooden clothes rod. The velcro solution was a pain to balance the bike, while threading the velcro, and cinching it down. Basically, it required 3 hands.
Design
The mount uses a snap fit to balance a bike on the rear wheel. The mount has clearance for post mount brake calipers so that the bike can rotate close to parallel with the wall.
Supported axles:
15mm front hubs
boost (15x110mm)
non-boost (15x100mm)
12mm front hub - UNTESTED, uploaded by request
Use
Attach bike
Remove front wheel by removing the thru-axle
Reinstall thru-axle into fork
Lift up bicycle by handlbars, balancing bike on rear wheel
Roll bike to wall
Push axle into mount DO NOT LIFT BIKE INTO MOUNT. MOUNT IS NOT DESIGNED TO HOLD WEIGHT OF BIKE.
Stash wheel elsewhere
Remove Bike
Pull bike straight out of mount
Remove thru-axle from fork
Reinstall front wheel by installing thru-axle

Installation Instructions
Requires
Wall anchors for your type of wall.
Model has 5.5mm holes
Use button head fasteners
Drill/screwdriver to install anchors
Pencil for marking
(optional) Friend for marking
Steps
Prep bike
(optional) lower seatpost
remove front wheel
reinstall thru-axle
Test fit the axle mount
push the axle mount onto the axle
minimal effort should be required
remove the mount from the axle
minimal effort should be required, this will also be how much you pull on your wall (consider type of drywall anchor/screws).
Notice that the an angle of entry/exit makes it much easier.
Install axle mount
pick up bike by handlebars, rear wheel on ground
balance bike up on rear wheel
roll bike to wall
pivot handlebars so that axle is vertical
IMPORTANT NOTE - there should be little to no effort to hold the bike in this position. Most weight should be on the rear tire. There should be very little twisting force as well, otherwise the bike may twist out.
(nice to have a friend) mark the wall where the axle is vertical and weight is on the rear wheel.
This is highly dependent on the bikes geometry and size.
Install the mount perfectly vertical to start, if you can't get the correct fit when vertical then try angling the mount.
