Description

A higher infill on the neck or extra parameters will make it stronger if you drop it to the floor. I grind my grounds pretty fine in an accurate burr grinder. I even regrind reground coffee. Place the pod for reuse into the holder and run you finger around the rim to flatten the rim back down. This makes the barcode sit flat and makes it more easy for the machine to read on the reused pod. Load it loosely with fine ground coffee leaving room for the TPU lid to sit flush with the top of the pod. and then place the plug in the center pushing coffee out of the way until it touches the bottom of the pod. Next slide the tamper over the center plug and tamp down the loose coffee using tapping motions on your countertop. Remove the tamper and center plug and slide the TPU lid on top. Load it into your machine and enjoy. (The last picture shows the TPU lid not sitting flush against the riff as it should, don't use that as a guide. It needs to be down a bit flush with the rim.)

You will have to experiment with the grind size. Too small or to tight of a packing / tamping and the back pressure that forms can open the machines safety value which then dumps the remaining brewing water into the pod collecting bin. It's worth the work to find the balance. It saves an enormous amount of money and allows you to brew your own favorite roasts.
