Description

A friend was looking at using these for a Prusa I3 build and did not want to use the precision threaded rod and wanted to stick with all thread like in so many other printers. Instead of printing the nut adapters that replace the brass precision nuts I merged the two designs together so the nut pattern is incorporated in the final printed part. The nut pattern is for a 5mm rod and nut.

7-31-2016 - Added an 8mm rod and nut version. It does cut into the side of original part do to the size of the nut but should be mechanically ok. The backlash spring will need to be cut shorter then most standard length springs but it will still do its job as long as the spring is in lite compression. The shorter spring length is needed to prevent collision with other parts of the design when then nuts are being installed (like the idler side bearing mount screw; there may be an order that these need to be installed....) If someone prints and tries this design (R3), please provide feedback as I do not have a printer that can directly benefit from these parts.
