Gridfinity Hanger - OpenScad

Thank you to Zach and Kennetek.  Zach for creating this new standard and kennetek for making a SCAD drawing that is easy to parameterize for baseplates.  I built upon kennetek's model for this.

This is designed to be able to hang baseplates, one, or multiple, and the hanger piece to scale properly.  A few items are “hard coded” yet most of the parameters can be easily changed.

The default settings are to hang a baseplate from an AnkerMake M5 top rail yet can be changed for any printer, door, square rod, edge of sink, anything where can hang something off of.  Did not add capability for mounting holes to the hanger, those can be easily added with a drill, dremel, or other tool, or it can be secured with tape and/or glue of some sort.

To print:

1. make changes, if desired, to SCAD model
2. export STL file, or use default one
3. In slicer software, it's preferred to separate hangar from baseplate
4. If separated, rotate hanger to avoid supports
5. Must use supports if keep as one model
6. Slice and PRINT
7. If separated, secure pieces together after printing complete.
