Description
I designed this to fix an issue i have with my Audeze earpads being too large for the driver of my m1060 headphones. So i enlarged the front face, and added a retaining lip around the cup to prevent them from sliding off over time.
WARNING If you are going to attempt this make sure to only remove the outer 4 screw on the metal driver plate or you will risk destroying the membrane on your driver. This is because there are strong permanent magnets on 2 sides of a thin membrane and they are repulsing each other. So when you remove the screws the driver magnets will force themselves apart and be very difficult to get back together and something could pierce the membrane. Also be careful about dropping the screws around the driver as the screws could drop in and destroy the membrane. I made all of these mistakes myself but was extremely lucky to not totally destroy my drivers, though i did bend the membrane slightly in some places.
Something else to be careful about is when removing the metal retention rings for the headband, be sure the you aren't letting them spring up and away otherwise you will never see it again. I use a pair of pliers to equally press both sides down away from me so that it doesn't fly away. Then when reassembling i use a pair of flush cutters to grab and push the clip back on carefully.
I haven't noticed any degradation of sound quality, and I've been running this tweak on only one side of my headphones for 6 months now, so it would be extremely noticeable if there was. (I just got around to polishing up everything and converting both side to this)

You will also need replacement stranded wiring, a soldering iron, and a hot glue gun to secure the 2.5 mm jack on the inside of the housing.
I also used the following filament for mine to get a matte wood-like color, this isn't true wood pla so it's much easier to print:
