BROR Enclosure V1 - Air filter upgrade

Air filter upgrade for BROR Enclosure V1.

This air filter should be printed and assembled onto the enclosure back wall before the enclosure is put together.

Assembly guidelines

Fan should hold by simply press fitting it into the fan-body. Orient the fan that the cable is oriented towards the small cable intentation in the body where it can exit the body. Make sure the fan blows towards the side with wider opening.

Insert the Filter into the filter body, if the filter does not close tight, one can use NBR strips to tighten the connection. I also put a layer of 2 mm NBR strip around the the top of the filter+body.

Add 4 mm NBR strips to the bottom of the filter body (small opening) on the entire surface. Cut away overhanging strips with a sharp cutter, drill the holes with a hex key, drill head or thin screw driver through the NBR strip.

The powder coated steel back wall of the BROR enclosure is quenched in between Fan body (outside) and Filter body (inside), with the smaller opening of both oriented towards the plate. The 4 screw holes need to be drilled into the plate (4 mm diameter) and a rectangular opening has to be cut into the 1 mm steel plate. This is best done by drilling on the corners 10 mm holes and cutting the 4 sides with an electric jigsaw using fine blades for 1 mm thin steel plates (but other metal blades might do as well).

Both bodies are screwed tightly together (4x 20 mm M3 countersink screws) with the prepared metal plate in between. Wenn assembled, add the pre-filter before the main filter and screw the top plate in place with 4x 8 mm countersink srews.
