Description

This retro TV photo frame has magnets embedded in the print. It's a quirky, interesting photo frame for your fridge or locker!

For the magnets, you'll need four 6mm x 3mm cylinder magnets. The magnets should have a diameter of 6mm (the hole in the print is 6.2mm) and a height of 3mm (the hole is 3.2mm tall).

This print is designed to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm layer height using default settings. You'll need to print two of the Dials. A brim is recommended for the PowerButton and the VolumeButton. The parts have a ~0.1mm tolerance, so if the parts do not fit, consider calibrating or reducing your flow rate.

To embed the magnets, pause the print after 3.6mm (layer 19). To pause in PrusaSlicer or SuperSlicer, use the “Gcode Preview” to add a color change at 3.8mm (layer 20). When the printer pauses, carefully insert the four magnets and resume the print.

In the attached photo, the Base is white, the Dials and Speaker are silver, the Accent and VolumeButton is black, and the PowerButton is red.

To assemble the print, glue is recommended:

  1. Insert the VolumeButton and PowerButton into the Base
  2. Place the Speaker into the Base above the buttons
  3. Carefully add glue in channels in the base, and then place the Accent outline into the Base
  4. Finally, add a dab of glue to the bottom of the Dials, and insert them into the Base
