Description
This spool system aims to be modular enough to be used for different cable and wire types of various thicknesses. One design goal is to reuse as many modules as possible and to keep each part as simple as possible.
The basic setup consists of a two identical spool side parts and an inner tube part, that can be screwed onto each side part.
To accomodate for longer or wider cables the tube exists in various widths to provide more spool content as needed.
If even the smallest tube width of 10mm is too much space on a spool, you can start to use a seperator. These can simply stacked onto a tube and fixed by the default spool side modules.
The spool sides have small and larger holes for fixing either small or larger diameter wires. These holes are on the inner tube level for initial fixing the beginning and on the outer rim to keep the end from dangling around.
No supports are needed for printing. Layer heights can be as high as 0.3mm for fast printing.
I printed these in Extrudr PETG, but PLA should also be sufficient.
