Description
This is a small box for storing and organizing garden seed packets. The design is inspired from a regular filling cabinet.
Tabs can be used to separate seeds at your discretion. If you use tabs, print the extra insert ("tab holder") so tabs have a place to anchor themselves at the bottom of the box too.
Note, I made the box quiet sturdy with a 2mm thickness because I like the friction fit of the cover.

The model pictured here was printed with PLA, 0.4mm layer height for everything but the “tab holder” for which I used 0.3mm. No supports needed.
Given the size of the box, it is faster to print with a larger nozzle (0.6mm here).
Included the model file if you want to adjust the box size. Everything should scale properly if you adjust the two following parameters in the Fusion360 file: packet_width, packet_height.
The “seed” icon used for the tab cut out, is coming from Font Awesome.
The font for the “seeds” cut out on the cover is Allerta Stencil.
I close opened seed packets with small binder clips (13mm, 1/5 inch width). If you don't have a better system, I highly recommend it. Haven't lost a single seed since doing that a few years ago!
