Description
Customizable 3D-printed lamp. Use LED strip inside the tubes.
Edit the OpenSCAD file to adjust the size of the individual parts of the lamp, to make sure it fits on your printer.
Adjust the tolerance setting in the OpenSCAD file to ensure that the parts fit together. Print out test elements first. Elements should have a tight fit so that the lamp stands straight. You might need different tolerances for the different parts.
I printed the pedestal hollow, drilled in holes, and filled it with sand.
I put LED strips inside the lamp while assembling it, sticking the strip to each lamp section before adding the next. There's space in the pedestal to put a small USB hub, or something similar, to power the LEDs.
Can be printed using PLA. Use a translucent filament, one extrusion wall thickness, and pick an interesting infill pattern, as it will be visible through the light.
