***UPDATED - now there is a left and right version. Print the one that you are less likely to knock off the printer!***
A simple XYZ axis fingerpost with the build size in each axis. It neatly plugs into the hexagonal hole in the top left cap of the Z axis of a Prusa i3. Mine is a Mk3S+ and it fits perfectly - I dont know if the cap is identical on all the i3 versions, so it may or may not work with others.
I tried colouring in the text with a marker pen. This did not work very well as capillary action pulls the ink along the layers resulting in it looking messy. Colouring in with a pencil worked OK, but then I printed some letters and numbers and superglued them in, and that looks really good. I suggest putting a drop of superglue into a debossed letter, then spreading it with an unbent paperclip, then dropping in the insert.
Ironically, the part needs to be printed with the X axis indicator pointing upwards, i.e. in the Z axiz.
I printed it in PETG, with 0.2mm layer height for the fingerpost and 0.3mm layer height for the text inserts.
As a design note, the inserts are 0.2mm offset inwards all round from the debossed letters they fit into. This gives a close clearance fit that should result in the inserted letters sitting flush in their sockets.
