Yet Another Box With Hex Mesh (Parametric)

For sure, the world needs another 3D model of a box with fancy hex mesh holes. This one is however totally parametric so you can generate the perfect size for any use in Fusion 360. The following dimensions listed in the table are supported. The front of the box will be perforated with hexagons (only full size) and the sides have one line of hexagons running vertically. 

Should print with no support in any material that can bridge small gaps.

If you are not familiar with fusion 360, you can generate a new bin model with these detailed steps once you have Fusion 360 installed and logged-in:

1. Download the .f3d
2. FIle menu ⟫ Open… (CTRL/CMD S)
3. Click Open from my computer
4. Select the .f3d file on your hard drive
5. Type SHIFT P to open parameters dialog/window.
6. Edit parameters listed above by clicking value in Expression column
7. Click OK button at bottom of parameter dialog
8. File ⟫ Save (CTRL/CMD S)
9. Give your project a name
10. In the “browser” (list left of model image) right click on the top item which should be the name you just used to save the project and pick Save As Mesh
11. Choose format of 3MF or STL, Refinement (I use High), click OK
12. Give your mesh file a name and click Save
