This bracket allows a Philips HUE dimmer remote (V2) to be hooked onto a bedframe or other item where this kind of hook shape might be useful. This is useful in a few situations:
- The remote might get knocked out of the (weak) standard magnetic mount.
- The remote might get accidentally pressed by bumping into it (prevented by the small lip)
The design was made to be mounted on the railing of a bed that might be used in health/home care institutes.
The source FreeCAD files are included so you can remix the design to fit your needs easily.
Practical notes about printing
- The supports for the hook part are a bit awkward. If it acceptable for your use application, putting the dovetail joints along the vertical direction (relative to build plate) would make printing easier.
- The dovetail joints' fit will depend a lot on your printer (e.g. extrusion percentage, nozzle wear etc). On my printer they fit snugly as printed, but if you notice they are too loose or too tight you will probably need to go into the source FreeCAD file to change dimensions
