Sock Blocker V2

The Sock Blocker V2 has a replaceable tip for adjusting the size. It is an improved version of my original Sock Blocker with better guiding rails and a tighter fit. The two versions are NOT compatible.

The tip is attached by a snapping mechanism that can be released by hand. There are two options for the main part with different clearances in the snapping mechanism: Standard fit and tight fit. You can use the Snap_Test_(Standard_Fit) and Snap_Test_(Tight_Fit) dummy parts with any of the tips to check which fit works best for your setup before committing to print the actual main part. 

There are tips for EU sizes 37-38, 39-40, 41-42, 43-44, 45-46, and 47-48.

The main part can be printed on a 25 x 21 cm area (Prusa i3) when rotated by 60°. The snapping mechanism was designed for a layer height of 0.2 mm, it may not work properly when printing with a different layer height.

• Added a second option for the main part of the Sock Blocker with a more loose fit of the snapping mechanism: Sock_Blocker_Main_(Standard_Fit)_v2.1. The Sock_Blocker_Main_(Tight_Fit)_v2.1 is identical to the previous part Sock_Blocker_Main_v2.0. Both options are compatible with all Sock Blocker Tips v2.0.
• For determining which fit works best for your setup, I added two dummy parts with just the snapping mechanism of the main part of the Sock Blocker: Snap_Test_(Standard_Fit)_v2.1 and Snap_Test_(Tight_Fit)_v2.1. You can use any of the Sock Blocker Tips to check the fit before committing to print the actual main part.

• Top contact Z distance for support material: 0.1 mm

• Different color for last two layers (for readability of numbers)
