Description

I designed this beacon to be used with a piece of outdoor machinery, with light to moderate weather conditions in mind. The grooves holding the “Diffusor” are designed in such a way, to hold light rain away from the LEDs, but you can weatherproof it further by assembling the parts with any type of sealant.

Print all parts as you desire but the “Diffusor”. This one is best be printed out of (semi)transparent material, like PETG. Also, VASE mode is the way to go in this case.

Just wrap any LED strip you like around the “Lamp_Base” part. It can take up to two strips in parallel with a 12mm footprint. (like ws2812b). The cables can be routed trough the slit towards the middle afterwards.

The Lamp_Bases diameter is 50mm, this equals to around 157mm lateral surface. If you are using a 144LED/m strip, you can clip it at exactly 23Led lenght. Despite most strips have addhesive allready applied, i reccomend to wrap them with a final layer of transparent tape, preventing them from coming loose due to vibration, heat or poor surface bonding.

You'll need one M3 bolt (12mm-20mm) to attach the lamp pieces together. If you want to use the given Lamp_Base_Mount you'll have to fit Lamp_Base also. If you do not want to any of the given mounts, you can also fit it straigh to a pole, wall or basically anything else.
