cover for the contacts of a mechanical relay

The standard mechanical relay pictured is still remarkably useful particularly for switching normally closed circuits to normally open and vice versa. However they have to be mounted in a box to prevent accidental elecrocution because of their naked contacts.

This cover is printed twice to cover the 8 contacts.

Features:

Clip on security: The cover clips onto the standard relay base, using the flexibility of the plastic.

Expanding holes for wires: a) the wires are not forced over a sharp edge and b) the hole can be increased in size to accept your diameter wire.

Catch ramp: the clip has a ramp that has no overhangs and this facilitates the print.

wall clearance: when the covers are fitted, the base of the relay is proud of the cover so that it fits flush to the wall when mounted, but the cover is clear of the wall.
