This base plate is a 1:1 re-built of the original Gridfinity “slim” plate from Zack Freedman

I find the magnets practical because everything stays in its place. But most of all, I love the "snap in" feature of the magnets. :-D There are some baseplates that use less filament than the original, but with these you have to glue the magnets in so that they don't get pulled out at some point. Since you can only get the magnets out later with a lot of effort, I thought of something else. In my version of the "Baseplate Light", the magnets (6x2mm) are inserted into the plate from below. Since they remain fixed without (or only with light) glue, they can be removed/reused later with a small screwdriver or something similar.
The plates have a size from 1x1 to 8x8, if there is a need for larger plates just ask. I printed them in PLA and PETG with the default settings of the PrusaSlicer.
Wanna say thank you? 🙏
