Description

This adapter connects the dust collection port (~65mm) of a DeWalt 7492 table saw to the big hose (~45mm nozzle) of a Makita VC1310L vacuum cleaner. The diameters are adjustable in the FreeCAD 0.20.2 model. So it may well work for others, too. The ends of the adapters are a bit tapered to allow for a firm connection.

I recommend printing in PETG but PLA should also be fine. With the default 1.5mm PETG print the whole print is a bis squishy which means it conforms nicely to the nozzle/port.

On my Prusa i3 MK3S it prints fine without any supports on the inside.

Slicing advice:

  1. start with the sliced model I provide for reduced supports on the bed
  2. add inside supports if the small amount of bridging in the bend gives you trouble

Obvious printing advice:

  1. use 0.6mm nozzle
  2. print with transparent filament so you can see if it gets clogged in use (yeah I thought of that right afterwards)

FreeCAD advice:

  1. don't forget to select the “Part” assembly when you export

Enjoy.
