Description
I like this design a lot more than the stock ones but I have an R2 so I modified them to match the screw holes in the stock 2.4r2 z drive baseplates. I also modified the TPU inserts to fit the new dimensions and made them 2mm taller.
The “no m5” version is the same except it doesn't have the hole for access to one of the M5 screws that hold the z-drive to the frame. All that means is you'd have to remove the foot before you could remove the z-drive from your frame or install the foot after you install the z-drive on a fresh build. But it's a tad stronger without the massive hole.
The feet I printed with normal voron PIF settings. ABS, 0.2mm layers, 5 top and bottom layers, 4 perimeters and 40% infil.
The TPU inserts are thin enough that they will be solid if you print them with the same settings. I went with 1 perimeter, 2 top and bottom layers, and 40% infil so they had more give. If you print them solid, they fit better with the z seem not in a corner.
Each foot is mounted with 3 M3x8 SHCS screws just like the stock baseplates.
