Description
This is a minor tweak of the LED clip which works nice. I turned up the tips of the baffles, which seems minor but as you can see from the cover photo the tips are now dark when viewed from the front.
To digress, the genius of eddietheengineer's design is that each clip is exactly as long as the distance between LED's on the strip. Then the LED's can be located next to the baffle, and be shielded from the viewer from the front of the printer. When I see how these looked when other folks installed them, I could still see the LED, which are very bright and annoying, because the LED's cannot be right next to the baffle due to their mounting. Note that this does block more of the light, so I run the LED's at full power, which is plenty bright enough.
Make sure to adjust the height to match the spacing of the LED's, I measured about 5 LED's and then divided the measurement to get more accuracy, since any error will be multiplied by the number of LED's. Also remember to mirror the stl for the other side. I also tightened up the clips into the extrusions (increased the dimensions slightly) because I found with a test print that the original were a little loose. Make sure you can snap these in, and print with ABS not ASA.
If you think the photo looks a little warmer than most, its because I used warm white LED's. I generally find the warmer color is less irritating, although I am not sure I did the right thing here.
