Description

Honestly this can be considered anything you want to connect 20mm conduit with to make a frame for, I just happened to have made it for a portable and collapsible projector screen for my pico projector.

I printed these in a config so I could have 2 sets of vertical supports as DIY projector screens I often see online are saggy in the middle but you can do this however you want, Im not your mum.

I made these to use 20mm electrical conduit which is fairly cheap and light, so each slot is setup for a 20.4mm hole so these are a very tight/firm fit but they will fit (though that last one I had to use a hammer and a piece of wood to tap it down as the conduit kept turning in my hand as i twisted it down). Each connector also has a hole in it for a screw or zip tie if you want to make it more secure (but they are fairly tight so I dont think Im going to need them).

Probably should go without saying not to print a bunch of these then test fit, but just in case don't do that. If you aren't sure you can split a part and only print enough to make sure you can do a proper test fitting if you want to save on filament.

My projector screen has eyelets so I made the frame oversized so I could ziptie and adjust but Im probably going to add more eyelets and switch to reuseable zipties (also probably going to paint the inside frame parts black so they dont show up through my projector screen but you might not need to.

You can use it as a garden projection screen or maybe setup your own drive-in or not as a projection screen at all...

If you are after the same projector screen as I used - https://amzn.to/2P9L3LZ

Print instructions

Everything can be printed without supports but given the need to slid it onto conduit you might want to either print at 0.2 to get better rounded insides or give it a sanding. I would recommend at least 20% infill too.

I printed all of these in PLA with the intent of just replacing them as/if they break but the only part that I wish had more flex is the pole support connector but even if you get a little crack it is a meaty piece and will probably be fine.
