Description
A thread is inserted into the handle during printing by inserting a DIN 934 nut. Depending on the size and the layer thickness set, a corresponding pause must be added in the slicer directly before the layer over the nut. In Bambu Studio that can be done using the slider on the right. Find the correct layer (adjustable via mouse wheel) and use <right click> → Add pause.
Starting with Bambu Lab 0.20mm @BBL X1C profile. I changed the following parameters:
The nut is motionless enclosed after printing, because there is no need for extra tolerances because a used screw or threaded rod will not get in any contact with the printed material.
The nut should be cleaned with isopropanol before insertion to remove oil residues from the production. Some glue stick should be applied on the top side to be printed. It is nevertheless advisable to warm up the nut slightly before inserting it (for example, by placing it on the edge of the printer's heating bed). This improves the layer immediately after inserting the nut, because printed material has better adhesion to the nut and the material adjacent to the nut then does not cool down too quickly.
