Craftsman Miter Saw Zero Clearance Throat Plate Insert

Zero clearance inset / throat plate for Craftsman miter saw (model 137.212290). Bought the saw used and the throat plate was cracked and falling apart. I taped up the remnants and modeled a new one since these are impossible to find.

Print with the flat side down to avoid supports. Using a red or another bright color as a reminder to keep the fingies away would likely be a good idea as well.

Mount with the original screws and slowly cut into the plate. You could also make additional plates for different angles or even blade kerfs if needed.
