This is a shrek cookie cutter for sand cookies or shortbread cookies.
Before trying i recomend it to apply a resin layer to close all the gaps and imperfections, this way you reduce the chance of getting bacteria stuck and it is easier to clean afterwards.
Here is a basic recipe to try it:
- 150g butter (room temperature)
- 50g vanilla sugger
- 100g granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla pod or a little bit of vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- a pinch of salt
- 300g of flower
- Mix the soft butter with the vanilla sugar and the sugar in a food processor.
- Cut the vanilla pod open lengthwise. Scrape out the seeds and add them to the butter. (or use vanilla extract
- Add the egg and a pinch of salt.
- Add the flour to the dough spoon by spoon in the food processor.
- Make a ball of the dough. Wrap it in cling film and let it set in the fridge.
- Preheat the oven to 175 °C.
- Roll out the dough on the work surface to about 8mm thickness. Cut out cookies with a cookie cutter.
- Line a baking tray with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Put the cookies on it.
- Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Let them cool on a wire rack/cooling rack.
- Taste the cookies.
- Great success!
