Description
Here is a remix of the altimeter desk clock, including a tilted version, or with magnets, and also extra faces/needles (Airspeed and Heading indicator), with MMU compatibility if you have it (use faces with “MMU Only” and split them to parts). It also works without MMU, just set an extruder change on the faces and fronts (use faces with “No MMU”).
I include the original Fusion 360 file as well as a STEP file to ease remix culture.
You can print most parts with .4mm/.6mm nozzles, but I recommend to print the faces using .25mm for better quality of details. No brim, no support needed at any time.
You'll need 4x M4x25 Hexa screws to assemble the whole parts, plus 8x3mm magnets if you want to use that option. Also you'll need a clock mechanism (you can find many on regular online stores, they usually are the same size regardless the brand), and no needle needed, as they are printed. You'll also need an acrylic disk (7.6x2mm).
You can use it as desk clock, with the tilted version or straight one, or also add 8x3mm magnets on the back to stick to the fridge, whiteboard...
For the altimeter and heading indicator, you'll have to insert the screw inside the knob. To make sure they stick to each other, I warm the screw for about 30 sec with a lighter, then push it into the knob hole. This slightly melt the plastic and glue it to the screw. By doing this I can screw using the knob directly. Before to do it, I recommend to first screw/unscrew a couple of times to thread the plastic.
If you like it, don't hesitate to comment, remix and share.
