Description

Features:

Shaped like a conversation heart, decorated like a conversation heart, and the small box perfect size to hold a box or two of conversation hearts.

Interior walls curve smoothly to the base to make it easy to draw candy out of the bowl from any direction.

Fully parametric: size, depth, text, and shape of the heart can all be adjusted using the OpenSCAD customizer.

Warnings:

The convenience of having conversation hearts in a bowl instead of fishing them out of the box may make them disappear faster than usual.

Provided exports:

Lids with text are labeled either “inlay” or “bridge”.

  • “inlay” has a matching text file that is meant to be imported into the slicer as a second material to print the text in-place with a different filament.
  • “bridge” has the text cut deeper into the top so the printer will bridge over the gaps the text leaves to deboss the text into the lid. Alternately you can flip the print orientation and use supports for the bottom of the lid.

Small (90 mm wide, 30 tall)

  • Sized specifically for conversation hearts in about the quantity I find reasonable to keep on my desk at a time.
  • Lids:
    • Blank
    • “BE MINE” inlay
    • “BE MINE” bridge

Big (162 mm wide, 50 tall)

  • Expanded to be a more reasonable size for chocolates, but still fit reasonably on the build plate of a Prusa Mini.
  • Lids:
    • Blank
    • “KISS ME” inlay
    • “KISS ME” bridge

Printing Tips:

Prints with the top of the lid and the bottom of the base down for no supports.

I printed the smaller size box at 0.15 layer height, 10% infill, sliced for multiple materials. My z-offset was too low on the lid or the text would have printed a little better. Ironing turned on gives a nice smooth interior.
