Buck Converter (LM2596) Enclosure (v2)

This is an enclosure for a LM2596 (or similar) buck converter which I use to step down voltage for DC applications. This is a simpler design from a previous weather proof version.

Hardware

• 2 x M2.5 6mm screws (for fixing both the module and the cap)
• 2 x M2.5 threaded inserts

Assembly

1. Using the tip of a soldering iron, place the 2 threaded inserts in their holes
2. Solder leads to your LM2596 module as needed
3. Put the LM2596 module in place with the M2.5 screws
4. Place the cap on and snap it closed

Printing

No supports. I personally used PETG with 0.3mm layer height and a 0.6mm nozzle.
