Description

This is a guiding tool to mark dovetail joints with different inclinations quickly and easily. This is best combined with an edge distance marker (like this, or this for example), if you don't use the complete length per side, which is 40mm.

This is a version with larger numbers and no additional writing on the top. This should improve printability and readability after printing quite a bit over the original version. All dimensions are the same as in the original.

Printing

Print this with the topside (where the markings are) on the printbed. Layers between 0.1mm and 0.2mm should yield pretty nice results, but you can of course also use thicker layers. I would use at least 3 perimeters to make the edges nice and stiff and about 20-30% infill.

The v2 version doesn't require bridging as the v1 did. At the time I thought this would make for a nice design. But I think good printability and functionality is better for a tool like this. That's why I didn't make additional 2nd versions with and without bridging, but only without.

The version provided uses less marking lines along the sides. If your printer struggles with the fine markings, that have only 1-2 perimeters between them, this should be easier to print.

You can also do a 2-colour print. This will improve visibility of the markings along the side quite a bit. I would also advise not to print this in white or black, as the markings are less visible with these colours in my opinion.

Scaling

You can scale the model in your slicer, but keep in mind, that this will also affect the distance marks and their size. If you don't want/need the distance markings, there is also a version without. You can find this with the original v1 dovetail marker I uploaded. This would be best suited for scaling.
