P1P Aux Fan Cover Panel

While the Aux. Fan Saver Mount is great, the back of the fan looks ugly and the exposed wire just dangles there, so I designed this to “clean-up” the look of the aux. fan and hide the wire completely.

EDIT: 12/3/23: I uploaded revised model (V2) with a bit more clearance for the fan tab and I also extruded the outer edge of the wire race to better conceal the wire if viewed from the rear side of P1P.

EDIT: 4/3/23: Added version with recessed screw head holes to give an additional clearance of about 1.4mm for those using a tight fitting side enclosure panel. This version will require normal (auto) supports for the recessed holes to ensure integrity/strength of hole- the supports pop out when pushed from thru hole with a small Allen wrench. If your printer is not enclosed, I'd recommend sticking with original version- no supports required.

Optional: If you want to avoid using the double-sided tape (hard to remove for servicing), print the top-nut file and the washer file (will need a M3x8mm bolt). If using the self thread version, use M3 bolt to ‘cut’ threads before assembling. This top nut option will require marking and drilling the top of the fan housing (see pics). FYI- the washer is a snug fit onto the M3 bolt and will hold it in place for assembly and will also prevent bolt from dropping into fan if it should work loose; don't omit this washer if you opt for the top nut mount option!
