Description
I find that I regularly buy packs of USB A to C adapters, then misplace them so that by the time I need one - well, I can't find any so end up buying more, and so the cycle continues.
While I was in the process of clearing and Gridfintiy-organising a draw I found a few packets of adapters, so Gridfinity seemed the best way to go to both store and display them (since display is part of the integral Gridfinity concept).
So here's a 1x2 Gridfinity compatible storage bin for 16 USB A to C adapters (stackable, in case like me you've got a lot more than 16 of these little beggars)….
The fit is deliberately fairly tight, but how tight depends on the material it's printed in.
I've printed using Yellow eSun PLA+ and the fit is absolutely spot on, allowing the adapters to be removed simply by tipping the tray upside down.
I've also printed in eSun Cold White PLA+ and with Cold White, the fit is definitely tighter, needing a little gentle persuasion to remove an adapter (though they come out freely when a USB-C cable is connected and the whole thing pulled out.
