Description

Having lots of snails in my garden eating my veggies. I need to feed them with special snail food ;) after every rain the food was lost and I needed to put new food out there.

Searching the Internet, I found some great products to buy or even some to print. But most were quite expensive or not available, the printed versions took forever to print.

Therefor I built my own design and optimized it for printing. If you need to print 50 of them, every minute counts :)

So I hope someone finds it as useful as I do. All you need to do is assemble it after printing.
Place it somewhere in your garden and fix it using the skew, put some snail food into the lower part and put the top on it so rain (and other external things) can not damage the food.

I have designed two sizes of the Snail Feeder, one with 90mm and another with 114 mm in diameter.

Print instructions

This is an updated version, more stiff and stable. It can now be printed with 0.4 and 0.6 nozzles without having issues to put the parts together.

Update

Over a year later and printing over a hundred of these slug feeders I am quite happy with the result. I figured out the dark colors are not a good choice, not for the material nor the snails itself (which avoid it if it is too hot). Also PLA stays in shape after more than a year outside.
