Description
Since googly eyes are a thing and it seems no one else had done it, I decided to make a Josef Prusa Googly Eyes Extruder Visualizer. The two parts snap together so no MMU required.
I borrowed the overall design idea from kenwebart, the glasses design from Manuel, and incorporated part of the quick snap pin connectors by Stillpointx to make the glasses connect to the base.
The googly eyes are 20mm in size, so this model is much larger than kenwebart's original design. In theory you could scale it down if you had smaller googly eyes. I used a standard 8x3mm magnet superglued to the back. If you find it rubbing a bit when it turns, just stack on a second magnet (see picture) to give it enough clearance to rotate freely.
I printed these in Prusament PETG Orange (base) and Black (glasses). It's a pretty quick print and doesn't use much filament.
Enjoy!
EDIT: Because I've only ever used PrusaSlicer I was unaware the negative spaces came out as solid spaces on other slicers. So, the remixed version has no negative space cone on the glasses. Instead, I made the nose cone on that version's base slightly smaller to fit the pocket on the glasses. So, if you're not using PrusaSlicer, the remix is recommended. You can find it under the remix tab as: Josef Prusa Googly Eyes Extruder Visualizer (Smaller Nose Remix).
