Description

I designed this spacer ring to prevent stagnant moisture at the roots of the plants in flower pots. It lifts the pot several millimetres from the trivet, what increases the airflow under it, and excess water has more space to drain from the soil in the pot.

There are several different diameters and heights to fit the size of your pot and the trivet you are using.

How to Print the Spacer Rings

In the file section, you will find a PrusaSlicer example project. Use this as a good base for your settings, or check the table below:

Nozzle Size:0.4mm, 0.6mm or 0.8mm
Layer Height:any
Filament Materials:PETG, PLA
Perimeters:Two perimeters
Prusa Slicer Profile:“0.2mm Quality”

Dimensions

All model files follow this filename convention:

LR2249-H<height>-D<diameter>.3mf

The Diameter (D)

The number after the D is the outer diameter of the ring in millimetres.

The Height (H)

The number after the H is the height of the spacer ring in millimetres.

How to Use the Ring

Just place the ring under the pot and ensure the fins are pointing down.

Conclusion

This simple print solved problems with two plants that do not like too much water at its roots. It is a simple print and hides well under the flowerpot. If you find this design useful, please rate it and upload photos of how you used it.

Happy Printing!
