Description
The original print by Matthew was introduced to me at the LMShow Monday Makes Challenge by MakerBees, our winner for the previous week. I decided to push my boundaries and try the PrusaSlicer modifiers and new Text system of version 2.6.0-alpha3. Printed at 150% scale and 0.2mm layer height, this piece comes in at a size of roughly 6"x6" or 152.5x150.3. Filament: Ttyt3d Silk Red top, Maker Series Racy red middle layer, Overture white for the concentric infill and heart candy sayings on the top. All text was added via PrusaSlicer. I added a modifier that matched the mid layer pattern to prevent overhang issues due to the concentric infill pattern having no top layer. I made the entire print adhered by 2 layers to prevent the parts from being an actual puzzle (the text would be lost if it were actual puzzle pieces). in hindsight, I would have made the middle layer in the silk and raised the text a couple layers above the red itself. Printing took 11 hours 15 minutes. Given the changes, I have adjusted the text to have an additional layer alone to allow the text to pop visually. Given one of the statements from another of the community, I probably would have started with the height being unchanged by the scaling. Thank you Matthew for the original model and bravo! 97.91grams in all.
Important Note
My Gcode has lines 393 and 394 commented out. If you remove the semicolons, you will have access to a cleaning sequence after the heating reaches a decent temperature.
