Description
This was a gift for my artistic sister. It is a fairly large palette (15"x19.5") with 48 wells and 8 mixing chambers. Due to its size, it was split into 4 quadrants, all printed separately on a Prusa i3M3 in PETG, and then glued together with clear auto trim adhesive. I sprayed some Rust-Oleum 280882 Specialty Tub & Tile Spray Paint (12 oz, White) over the entire top to simulate porcelain wherever paint is present. It is like acrylic epoxy. A cover was made out of ¼" clear acrylic sheet and handles were attached to the cover on either side with the same adhesive. Four Neodymium magnets (see tech sheet) were glued into the palette to hold the cover down securely. Four screws were screwed into the reinforcers (which were glued to the acrylic) and adjusted to the optimum depth for attraction to the magnets. I left the initials out of the left handle so you can add your own, or maybe make different handles for your palette cover… or trim to the shape desired.
