Designed to hold Easy Serving Espresso (ESE) coffee pods. Relatively small and fast print.
You can store them both vertically and horizontally.
Print
I suggest printing with PETG as the walls are thin and my PLA print is a bit flimsy. Print horizontally and go to town with perimeters and infill. 0.3 layer height should be good enough as there won't be many layers visible anyway.
Assembly
- Print all the pieces once.
- Snap the back panel and the base together; bend the back panel for easier insertion.
- Snap the left and right panels on the base, using the small indentations at the bottom.
- Use cyanoacrilate or similar method to bind together the corners of the three vertical panels.
- Once the panels are glued, also glue the front panel's sides to the side panels, making the tops flush to each other.
What went wrong in the design
- I should have made the walls thicker – these are my first designs and I don't have a good perception of dimensions yet, so the overall result is a bit flimsy and lightweight.
- The panels should snap together or have joints; requiring superglue isn't great.
- The inclination of the base makes it pretty awkward to pull pods out horizontally.
- The horizontal space is sufficient for pods to go through but they can get stuck into the walls.
