Flux Capacitor Keycap

The Idea:

• the prominent Flux Capacitor from the Back to The Future saga
• minimalist design
• Cherry-MX stem and DSA inspired (original Cherry design drawing)

Design Process:

• different stages of the design (and my amateur painting skills)
• the stem is flush with the outer walls and has a radius at the top to support the top of the cap and minimize bridging
• 0.4 mm Nozzle was not feasible for such small details

Overall dimensions:

• size comparison left DSA right SA R3

Print recommendations:

• 0.3 mm Nozzle 
• 0.1 mm Layer height
• 100% Infill
• 98% Flow (better keep it on the low side for these small features)
• PLA

Orientation:

• stem on the built plate

Post Processing:

• cleaning the bottom edge
• painting
