Modular mudguard system for electric longboards. Currently supports these boards:
- Backfire G2 (G3 possibly too, not tested)
- Backfire Zealot/S (front wheels only, back is complicated because of the belt drive)
Also check out my other longboard models.
- For each wheel, you'll need to pick a guard and and adapter for mounting the guard to the wheels.
- There are mudguards available for 96mm (standard) and 105mm (Cloudwheels) wheels.
- Mudguards are in two variants - symmetrical or more lightweight/stylish asymmetrical.
- Everything is supportless.
Further notes:
- Material choice is a bit problematic, I've tried PETG and the guards kept getting brittle and breaking. I'm currently testing out PLA HT110 from Aurapol and it looks promising. You might wanna try printing with ASA/ABS or so.
- The Zealot trucks are a bit trapezoidal so it's kind of a challenge to prevent the adapters from sliding to the wheels. The solution is up to you. You can drill a hole and put in a screw to stop the sliding, or you can try some tapes.
For each wheel, you'll need:
- 1× mudguard print (the asymmetrical variant need to be mirrored for some wheels).
- 1× adapter print (needs to be mirrored for some wheels).
- 3× M5x16 screws (phillips head recommended so that it's flat) for attaching the mudguard to the adapter.
- 2× M5x20 screws for attaching the mudguard to the wheel.
- 5× M5 self-locking nuts.
