Description

My wife asked me to make her a pair of Mardi Gras inspired Fleur De Lis earrings. Of course I was happy to make her a pair. These earrings are designed with a color change in mind but print fine without one. So with that, happy Mardi Gras, and les bon temps rouler!

Bill of materials:

Nothing special here. A pair takes about 3-5 grams of filament. Which means these are perfect for that spool of filament that just has a tiny amount left. You will however also need to purchase some earring findings and have access to a small pair of pliers.

Earring findings: https://www.amazon.com/Hypoallergenic-Earring-Thrilez-600Pcs-Jewelry/dp/B08JC9W2YT

Small pliers: https://www.amazon.com/Pliers-Jewelry-Cutters-Wrapping-Beading/dp/B0B4JPSQLG/

Printing:

A couple of things to note. I recommend printing at a little higher resolution by adjusting your layer height to .10 mm instead of .20 mm.

Layer height: .10 mm

Infill: 10%

Assembly:

The assembly process is super simple and actually really fun. You will find some photos showing the assembly process in the gallery. If you need more photos or further instructions don't hesitate to leave a comment and let me know.

  1. Link the two jump rings together by opening one of them and using the pliers to close it.
  2. Attach one of the jump rings to the eyelet in the earring and close.
  3. Attach the other jump ring to the finding and close.
  4. Try them on!

I've also included a couple of photos showing how to attach the findings.

Notes:

If you do happen to print these we would love to see your prints. So please comment and share your photos. Honestly, I can't wait to see what color combinations everyone comes up with. Also, if you happen like this model please consider clicking the lil heart. I would really appreciate it.
