Description
Goes well with my log cabin catch all tray! ;-)
Not a lot to say, this was my first idea for the contest when it popped up… Had a blast figuring it out! In the process I did something I'd wanted before, a simple easy stylized flame shape.. As a bonus I got to model and print chopsticks, since we didn't have any.
I printed in Matter Hakers brown PLA, and the flame in Sunlu orange PETG.
Flame at 0.3mm layers and 0.4 walls, pretty normal. The Logs I ran at 0.4mm layers, and 0.6mm lines, for a rough barky look.
I ended up with two, one full size, and one at 80%. I modeled it at 100% obviously, thinking it would be fine, but then thought it was too big. Printed the 80% first, and it is a bit small, so I just did it at 100% next. 90% might be a good medium though, since the big ne is a little bit much for dinner table, I think.
Assembly is easy, small sphere and socket that sets together, little glue, or epoxy should be fine. little bit of poster putty or similar too, even silicone caulking… Won't take much to stay! I designed it for, and used a dollop of hot glue.
Anyway, Hope you enjoy it!
