Description

Very small dipole antenna. Great for backpacking, POTA, SOTA, etc. Three different base connectors for SMA, BNC and SO239 connectors. Connect 2 lengths of wire to the base and clip on the connector. Search the Internet for “Dipole Calculator” to figure out the length of wire for the band your using. Raise the center up as high as possible and stretch the 2 wires out. In the pictures I show a sample of my 10 meter voice wires that I carry. It is tuned to the center of the voice portion of the 10m band (about 8' per wire). I also have another packet for 10 meters CW which is about 6" longer per wire. Makes for a very small package to carry one center and the two wires.

These can be used as a straight flat top dipole or as an inverted V.

This is your basic dipole which is just an antenna connector that connects to 2 wires of a defined length. There are no other electronic parts needed.

There are 2 wire holes in the center. The upper one should be used for the center lead. That way you know which one is center versus ground after assembly (if you care).

There is also an extra hole at the top of the cone on the base. I use that to fill is with silicon after assembly to weatherproof it.

I design everything in OpenSCAD which can be downloaded for free. The design is included in the files.
