Simple 1kg Prusa MK3 Spool Holder with Bearings

Here is a simple adapter to convert the Prusa Mk3 spool holder to a bearing wheel. It takes a 8 x 100mm rod and 2ea. 608 bearings.

Print the spool holder vertical with no supports. Press in the bearings and slide the rod into the adapter. It just twists in place and the little clamp insures the spool won't come off. This fits the most common spools with an ID of about 53mm.

I created this to reduce the required pull on the filament when printing with TPU.

I hope it is of some use or it just gives you and idea or two.
