The Idea:
- organizing a minimal ratchet set inside an Altoids tin
Design Process:
- I used a little notch in the top right to make a really tight fit inside the tin
- down below is a svg file for the numbers included
- as you can see, the tin still closes perfectly
Overall dimensions:
| weight | height | width | depth |
| 30 g | 16 mm | 91 mm | 56 mm |
Print recommendations:
- 0.4 mm Nozzle
- 0.2 mm Layer height
- 15% Grid Infill
- no Supports
Post Processing:
- maybe some deburring, but not really needed
Additional Parts:
- I printed a label and glued it under the insert (Numbers.svg)
Assembly:
- it's a pretty tight fit, that's what the notch is for
- squeeze it together and push it under the top lip of the tin and after expanding it shouldn't fall out again
- optionally you can glue it in place, so the numbers on the label will always line up
