Description

There is a new and improved version of this model: LR2305

This is an air vent for a 30mm hole in an enclosure with 10mm thick walls. It has a snap-in mechanism to hold it in place with no additional tools required.

Use the attached parametric Fusion360 model to adjust the model to your desired size. After changing the hole diameter, you may need to fix the last step in the model to include all grille elements.

How to Print the Vent

I designed this model to be printed with PETG, with a layer height of 0.2mm. While it will print with different layer heights and other materials, the hooks of the snap-in mechanism are thin and may break if printed with brittle materials like PLA.

  • Print the template with PETG.
  • Select 0.2mm layer height.
  • Use the quality setting.
  • The flat side of the models goes to the printer bed.
  • Use the powder-coated sheet for the best looking surface.
  • Do not scale the model!
