Description

READ BEFORE PRINTING!

This is a non-commercial print, this means you are not allowed to sell files or prints of this model.

------------------------------------------------------

What is it for?

I created this to make it easier to bring my Canon P contained/protected in a single package inside a full backpack, withouworry abt having to out the camera being crushed.

I can fit my Camera, a shoe-mounted light meter, a roll of film, a couple of lens wipes as well as the camera stap in the case. This way, I could just grab the case from my shelf and have all I need for a day trip in a neat/compact package.

It works for other cameras as well and I'm willing to make variations of this case if your camera doesn't fit. You will find the exact dimensions at the end.

I can of course not give any durability garantees for the hard case. If you need a really heavy duty hard case to protect your equipment from rough environments, this is not for you.

------------------------------------------------------

How does it work?

  • The lid is “print in place” together with the clasp. This means that you only need to print two models.
  • You slide the lid from the slide and snap the lid in place with the clasp.
  • I would recommend some padding between the camera and hard case to make a snug fit. I added some “Wettex” dish rag with double sided tape in the camera compartment to achieve a perfect fit.

------------------------------------------------------

How to print:

  • Do not use supports! Both models are supposed to be printed without any supports.
  • Make sure your printer can achieve 0.3mm tolerances before printing. If not, your hinge will fuse.
  • Use some force when cracking the clasp loose. It will likely be stuck, but should be able to break loose without destroying the clasp.
