Description
This is a model of a decapped Integrated Circuit (IC). It's a generic model , for educational purposes , in order to understand the inside of a common chip. In the center it is supposed to be the chip/semiconductor with (golden/copper/aluminium) wire coming out from the small pillars to the “metals” that lead the signals in and out of the chip. Under the chip is also a metal layer for the structural integrity of the final chip. See the reference photos in order to understand the consept better. I printed it with a raft in order to have a rigid bottom . If you scale it up a little bit (~200%) , you can glue some wires and create a cool exhibition peace. It can also be painted. It was made on an Ender 3 with .28mm layer height.
The pictures are mine and taken from a smd microscope(~40x) and are of an EEPROM memory chip and of a broken chip
