Description
2024.03.20 - Added top and bottom doors designed for countersunk screws. If using countersunk top/bottom doors, use m2.5 x 16mm screws.
This isn't going to look like the square-ish flashlight seen in “The Game” or a couple other TNG episodes. This is intended to look like the one shown in spots like the pictures included - “The Enemy” and “Future Imperfect”, etc. That overall shape works much better with the LED bulb internals.

Base freecad file provided if you want to add your own mount points for different internals.
Other light option NOT guaranteed to fit mount points. You'll need to make some adjustments if you want to use the rechargeable light's guts and enable recharge.

Use m2.5x10mm x4 and m2.5x15mm x4 female standoffs to scaffold middle shelf to tabs of outer shell. The inner shelf side mounting points on the front (for the cob bulb) use m2 screws & nuts. Inner shelf is meant to hold 4xAA batteries - use battery springs from the light you're gutting or get some here:
