HoverBall Nested Cat Toy (Organic Support Test)

I wanted to create a model that was fun for both the maker and their feline friends!

This design is a set of hovering nested balls that highlight PrusaSlicer's (version 2.6+) new organic supports.  It's intended to be printed in place, challenging your printer and material tuning. The hovering design of the model forces the organic supports to weave in and around the model when set to “Support for build plate only.”

The finished product is a great test of your printer and material tuning for organic supports, with an added bonus of hours of fun for your kitty!

Print Settings:

• 0.2mm Layer Height
• 2 Perimeters
• 20% Infill
• Supports: Yes - Organic Supports from Build Plate Only*

*The model includes an extra 0.2mm disc at the base that forces the ball model to hover over the plate in the slicer.  Supports are required for successful printing.

Instructions:

1. Import STL model, or start with the 3MF
2. Setup and tune supports
3. Print
4. Have fun removing the organic supports.  The better your tune, the easier it is.
5. Give the finished product to your pet.
6. Repeat.
